When using an indoor electric grill, you do not get the same flavor impacted by charcoal grills, but you can always make up for that by seasoning your meat. Grilling works excellently with vegetables, chicken, and beef, and it is one of the healthiest ways to cook.
1. Perfectly Grilled Rib Eye
If you are like me, you like your steak juicy and medium rare.
Ingredients
- 24oz steak -2-inch rib-eye.
- Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of freshly ground pepper
- Kosher salt to taste
Instructions
Pour a little oil all over your steak and rub it in on both sides. Add a few pinches of salt (on both sides, again) and rub it in for an even spread. Next, sprinkle your freshly ground pepper all over your steak. Let it sit at room temperature for one hour to allow the spices to get into the meat.
Preheat your grill on high for about 15 minutes before you place your meat on. When the grill heats up pretty well, place the steak on, close the lid and leave it to cook for 6 minutes. Flip the other side and cook it for the same amount of time.
2. Grilled Salmon
Some delicious salmon, anyone?
Ingredients
For this, you will need
- 1lb salmon
- Freshly ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Cut the salmon into about three pieces, depending on the length you want, and then pour some olive oil on both sides to keep it from sticking on the grill. Sprinkle your salt on the inner side of the salmon and not on the skin. Pre-heat your grill for two minutes on high and then cook each side of the salmon for 5 minutes. You want to turn each side only once. When you flip on the ski side, sprinkle your pepper to season the salmon. When both sides are done, serve and squeeze some lemon into it. Delicious!
